Quenching a Thirst for Craft Beer in Portsmouth, NH
The giant moose head will welcome you as you stroll in the Brian Ward’s new joint, The Thirsty Moose, located in the former “Foobar” space. Without even stepping in, Thirsty Moose is miles above the uninspired Foobar, and with it’s 116 taps it looks to solve an empty niche in Portsmouth’s downtown bar scene.
Thirsty Moose soft-opened on July 12th, so its yet to be determined what type of clientele it will attract. Portsmouth bars, with it’s proximity to UNH are usually made up of college kids or a mature audience. Hopefully its a mix of the two. Anyhow, we will have much more on Thirsty Moose as it becomes an established member of the Portsmouth, NH bar scene and ever-expanding New England Craft Beer scene.
